Another piece of amazing spalted Dogwood. This bowl is 4.125" w x 3.125" h. It has a Walnut base with a Swarovski crystal.

6 1/2" dia. x 6" t - This is one of those pieces that put up a fight - jumping off the chuck and rolling around the garage, requiring a re-shaping. I'm interested to hear feedback on this if anyone's interested. Thickness goes from around 1/16" to about 5/16 towards the inside...
When roughout developed a serious crack over time, I used thin CA on the rest of the stabilized crack with the intent of seeing how thin a bowl I could turn. Band and small foot are woodburned. Bush Oil buffed before and after the finish - with no wax. 6 1/2"w x 4"h.

Black Walnut rough turned green, seasoned, finish turned, fluted and finished with sanding sealer between 180 - 400 grit, 3 coats of Waterlox and buffed with Beall system. Grain was quite unique for the piece. 7" dia x 6" high.

I had the day off today so I got to play in the shop all day. I originally wanted to turn this into a hollow form but there were two knots on the top that were full of cracks so I decided to make it a bowl instead.

A simple little Walnut bowl about 6 inches in diameter, sanded to 1200 grit, finished with BLO and CA, polished and buffed with white diamond and carnauba wax.
