When I was very young and my parents used to drag us kids along when they visited older people, more often than not their living room/dining room area had a vase in it which looked a lot like this one. The color and size might vary, and it may be a little bit more or less squat, but this is a...

Petals of myrtle burl dyed to a coral, orange, and red blend. Bill and Diane wanted a vase with this color combination which I think turned out to be very nice. Blackwood stem with some sap wood. 5X5 Received an interesting comment from an artist, he said that an artist would prefer the stem...
Black Walnut rough turned green, seasoned, finish turned, fluted and finished with sanding sealer between 180 - 400 grit, 3 coats of Waterlox and buffed with Beall system. Grain was quite unique for the piece. 7" dia x 6" high.
Petals are myrtle burl airbrushed with gold, orange, and two reds dye. The stem is Texas Ebony. Finish lacquer hand rubbed to semi-gloss. Overall size is 5X5. Hard to see but this one has exceptional grain pattern.
This is an ash vase which measures 10 3/8 inches by 6 inches. It was beaded and then dyed yellow with aniline dye and treated with black patinating wax.
This is another in what is beoming a series of beaded ash vessels. It was dyed with orange aniline dye and then treated with black patinating wax to accent the grain. It measures 10 1/2 inches tall by 6 inches in diameter.
