Poppy Vase

A hollow-turned box elder. Wood-burned and brush washed with Dr. Martin stains.
Bob, I love the woodburning on the body and those "flutes" really impress me. The top flange doesn't strike me quite so well, but the idea and technique is very inspiring. Nicely done.

Beautiful. Gives the eyes a workout and a real treat. Took me a few seconds to realize it might actually be wood. Very creative and technically outstanding.

To me this is a fantastic piece. The use of pyrography to get the 3D effect is terrific. Makes me think of An Ode to a Grecian Urn.

Bob you make me want to get my burning tools out. Nice job.
