On this box wanted to make a slight twist to the normal round bottom style. The form is more squat and curvy but keeping some classic design elements like the undercut domed lid and small base. It has a pleasing more "feminine" look shall I say, especially with the darker more royal Kingwood! Turned, hollowed to a ~1/8 wall thickness and finished with buffed wax and gloss lacquer. Size is 2.25" in diameter and 2.5" tall. I am working with these round bottom forms because I will be demonstrating this style to my wood turning teacher next week who wants to know my methods on turning boxes!!
