4" wide x 4" tall cherry form that has been textured inside and out with a Powercrafter, the grid burned with a pyrography pen and then the whole thing colored with Prismacolor markers. Truly, an exercise in patience....
3 3/4" wide x 3 3/4" tall; black portions are textured with pyrography pen, the whole piece is colored with prismacolor markers. The finish is two coats of danish oil, then a coat of Krylon UV resistant clear coat.
This is boxelder that has been enhanced with pyrography and prismacolor markers. It's 3x3. The black areas have been textured with a pyrography pen and colored black.
Living with grape vines all around has influenced my art (and drinking preference). This sycamore bowl is 16" x 6". The images are burned in and color-blended with alcohol dyes.
The design incorporates a lip of ~1.5" overlap. The texturing is an exploration in what can be done with the coil burning tip. The design was implemented with an 18g coil woodburning tip used in both continuous lines, as well as a weave pattern. The color is a by-product of the burning...

The branding is done with an 18-gauge nichrome wire coiled about 4-5 times, using Graeme Priddles' branding method. Special thanks to Molly Winton & John Lucas for his instructions on developing the coil pen.
