This is a silver maple hollow form which was dyed with aniline dyes and then judiciously sanded. It measures 6 1/2 inches in diameter by 12 3/8 inches tall.
Silver Maple bowl about 10" wide and 3 1/2" high. Walls are a 1/2" thick throughout. Finished with shellac/walnut oil based friction polish to be dry food safe. Holes were filled with epoxy and coffee. Bowl was sold before I could part it off the lathe. Wish that would happen...

This is a silver maple pot measuring 8 1/4 inches in diameter by 9 inches in height. Antique Oil finish. The markings on the front remind me a bit of "The Scream" by Edvard Munch.

A silver maple pot about 7 5/8 inches tall. It is finished with Antique Oil. The bottom was round, but a small concavity about 3/4 inches across was added so that it stands upright on its own.
