The circle pattern is branded into the rim. The foot is dyed mahagony. It was turned seperately then attached.
Well after roughing bowls for a year and a half I finally have blanks I can finish. It was a good way to practice with a gouge and get rid of a few the
Curly cherry burl hollow form. 6" high and about 3"wide. Walls are about 1/4" thick throughout. Finished with Multiple coats of Formby's tung oil finish and then waxed. Comments welcome.

about 4 in. x 6 in. Maple Burl with an Ebony Collar. About 4 x 6 inches. I saw this block of wood at Woodworker's Source but didn't buy it. I went back the next day and it was still there and it came home with me. I could tell it would have awesome figure. Finished with General Finishes...
