I turned this in a club challenge. Those participating were given a piece of cottonwood, told to turn something and add to it. I got a square piece, so out came a square bowl, I added the walnut lid and finial. It is 7x7x4 plus the finial. You can see the worm holes. I hit some with CA and left...

This was the last of my old apple trees which was uprooted in a storm last spring. This was some of the only sound wood left in the tree. Made from a small crotch section. The size is 11" x 13.5" x 5" tall. The finish is my oil mix and buffed with tripoli and carnauba wax.

Turned from a bland looking blank that ended up yielding lots of figure. Measures 10" x 2" and finished with Mylands Friction Polish. First coat left streaks so I flattened it with 0000 steel wool. Second coat went on much smoother. Final finish/buffed with Renaissance Wax. As...
