Twisted Segmented Spalted Maple
This hollow form/vase is made from a single piece of old growth Spalted Curly Ambrosia Maple and segmented with Walnut veneer.
It is 6 3/8 inches tall by 4 1/4 inches in diameter.
The finish is shellac and wax.
Thank you Tatooedturner!
I am working on a series of design and construction ideas, evolving from this concept.
Some of the finished pieces from the latest "improvements" are already posted...
I am interested in any feedback. I wonder if the style/designs might be of interest to other turners.
