The making of Lost Voyager

Lost Voyager

Totara
Length: 1.5m (4' 11")

This is the beginning of the Lost Voyager, when finished it will tie in two themes I'm presently working on, the voyager series and my ragged series but be an outdoor piece. It is for an exhibition myself and a group of friends are having on Dec 1-2 in Napier. I'm posting this to show the size, as some times it is hard to get across the size in a small image.
I'm hoping to have three pieces on this theme by ready for the exhibition.
It's great to get stuck into something big for a change and get away from all the fine sanding. I will post a pic of the finished piece when done.
Comments welcome
Holy Cow! This is excellent as it takes turning from the realm of "table top" art, to major pieces of sculpture. I love it and am looking forward to seeing pictures of the completed work. It'd be great if you'd post photos of the piece(s) at the show you're doing. Way to go!

Thanks Scott. I will post a picture after the exhibition. I haven't decided if I'll hang it or have it on some sort of stand. Robbie
