Maple Burl Thingy

Saw this done somewhere else but don't remember who the artist was to give attribution to. Maple Burl 16x14x4.5. Legs are walnut finished in AO. Bottom was left "untouched"

Very nice piece, Nate. I like the contrast between the small, smooth walnut legs and the rough, textured burl.

I've never figured out exactly what a "thingy is Nate, not withstanding that I have done a few myself, but as they go this is a real nice example :cool2:

Nate-

You hit the nail on the head with this one. Fantastic piece. Are there three or four legs and what's the length?

Gary

Thank you all for the kind comments.

Peter-I think a "thingy" is something that doesn't quite fit in any "accepted" category :)

Gary- 3 legs, each leg is a different length as the placements are random so the length are as needed to make the piece level.

Dale-glad to see you here
