Cloverleaf Burl
Kelvin Burton

Cloverleaf Burl

Mallee burl (red or brown?) that I got from a roadside vendor in the Blue Mountains west of Sydney, Australia about 5 years ago. Came complete with bark that I had to remove by hand before bring it home to Texas. Turned this on 3 centers with counterbalances based on Terry Scott's method as described by Mike Stafford on More Woodturning.
13" x 12" x 3.5", finished with Danish oil and buffed and waxed.
