Cherry bowl dyed with Sarlet dye, bead blasted on the outside, sanded on the inside. First coat of finish is Danish Oil then after a week drying applied 5 coats of high gloss Wipe-on-Poly then laced with green string. Lacing took 3 hours. Six inches wide and three inches tall. Has a small foot on the bottom.
Interesting, unique design. Impressive.
I think your photo would do better by getting the camera as far away as possible and using the zoom if available. I was given that hint a while back. Also, a question - what is blasting?

Was experimenting with the cammera and that was the best so shot of it so far. Have since bought a better cammera in which I should be able to get better shots. "What is blasting?" It's that same as sand blasting except that the medium used is glass beads. Also it depends on the type of wood as to how fast the beads cut-soft wood, the summer wood is blasted away real fast and the winter wood stands out because of of that. This cherry piece has been drying for over 20 years in a persons attic. A friend of mine has a machine shop and he lets me use his blasting equipment. In exchange for using his equipment I give him turnings, which both he and his wife dearly love.
