Walker lathe L1151

Not sure if you are talking about the little knob on the lathe you turn for different speeds, the potentiometer, or the Variable Frequency Drive. For repair parts, you will need to include the model and manufacturer of your control. There are some really good electrical minded turners on this forum who will be glad to help if they can. For the whole drive, Amazon has a warehouse in Puerto Rico and they have great tech support for their Lapond VFD and I also noticed they supply potentiometers as well. Contact them and ask for tech support, one way to maybe fix your issue.

Need info where to get or find or made parts of variable speed control thanks
I think you have a Walker Turner lathe, which is somewhat the predicessor to the Delta (rockwell delta) 46-450 or similar. I'm not directly familiar with that lathe, but is it the Reeves drive you are having issues with? If you can post some pictures, it may be helpful for others to make suggestions.

VintageMachinery.org might have copies of the manual and/or parts diagram for it.

Heck, either way post a picture or three, we love looking at them, and seeing a classic lathe like that is always neat.

It is my mistake but thats the walker lathe here is what I need on the attachtment to buy because it came only with the motor the picture on the upper right everything on it thanks guys

That will be a tall order. Couple of possibilities - skip the variable speed bit totally, and go with a 3 phase motor and VFD to convert single phase to 3 phase. Alternative will be to scour ebay and craigslist type places to see if someone has a parts machine.

Any machine shop could make the spacer and a real industrial bearing shop could probably get a replacement for the bearing if you take the old one with you. If you use a micrometer and dial indicator you can measure the shaft and bore and then take the numbers off the bearing and research at McMaster-Carr

I have two thoughts. 1) If the missing part is not just the bearing and spacer highlighted on your parts list, but is in fact the entire variable speed system, you have two options. Converting it to an electronic variable speed will give you the most functional lathe. Replacing the mechanical variable speed will be a huge challenge, as already mentioned. Perhaps one of the participants here knows of a group of vintage tool lovers who could guide you on the process.

2) If our English responses are too confusing or we seem to be missing your meaning, you could start a conversation directly with Emiliano Achaval, who is an experienced turner, familiar with tool problems and can probably explain things more clearly.
