I have a Jet 1442 VS that I am looking to sell but really have not a clue of what to ask for it. I recently replaced the belt, bearings and Reeves drive (fun project). I may include one supernova II chuck, faceplate and maybe a few tools. Any help on this would be very much appreciated.
Thanks

I found this related Reddit thread from about a year ago:

Consensus wasn’t great, but I imagine if you just replaced the Reeve’s drive there is a bit more security. Assuming everything else is in good condition, maybe start at asking $400 for the lathe only. With the accessories, maybe try for 600-700. That would be my strategy. Of course, your local market might dictate. In Chattanooga, including everything you mentioned, I’d say 600 would be optimistic.

My opinion. As technology doesn't change much, all that remains is condition. If the lathe is still good condition (no dinged up bed)tool rest, no paint, glue, finished, tail stock works as should......), then I say 80% of a new lathe.

I had that lathe a few years back and remember replacing the Reeves drive on it as well. That would deter me from considering it. I much prefer an electronic speed control. I sold mine 8 years ago for $600.

The other detractor to the Reeves drive is that the lowest speed is too fast. Your picture doesn't inspire enthusiasm, with all the black stuff on it. If you could clean it up, it would increase the chances of a sale, IMHO.

The price range you've seen above seem about right to me.
