....I now have a large bowl.....Sycamore 14 1/2 x 4 1/4!

Well, honestly, I've never had a bowl blank this big!.....and I'm enjoying the hell out of having it! I have had some 14" x 1 3/4" platters, but nothing this humongous!

Thanks to Barbara Gill for giving me some sources of wood that panned out!

This ruffed out bowl, as plain of grain as it is, is just what I needed to find out how it is to get a really big piece of wood. (well, considering that 16" dia would be my max)

I probably won't be able to finish it for at least 6mo after air drying, but I'm happy to have it.
