You're S.O.L on the secret handshake and decoder ring, but welcome to The Addiction anyway. You'll like the Journal as well, but if it seems inordinately long before you get your copy, pick up the phone and call the AAW (you DO have a cell phone with free long distance, right?). That will get you way more response than posting a rant here about your empty mailbox.

Man, I wish you had waited until after the 15th to sign up. Between you and that Bill fellow who just re-upped, you have seriously reduced my chances of winning that lathe. Now the cost of the decoder ring is going to have to increase (sort of like gasoline prices). Send a big chunk of madrone burl to me via e-mail for your ring. Someone else will have to scam you for the secret handshake.

Seriously, you have made a wise decision. The AAW is a great organization and their magazine is among the best (deliver problems excepted).

No-o-o, Dietrich, not THAT handshake! Jeez, Man, everybody who's ANYbody knows THAT ONE. It's the other one we got in the seminar at the KC Symposium, Silly.

Not-to-worry, Greg. We can get you set up, although there will be a nominal fee. But you can also be comfortable that your donation will go for an excellant cause, namely the advancement of woodturning. When you get the form in the mail, simply fill it out and enclose it, along with your donation as outlined in the form, in the return envelope provided (don't forget the full postage - 2 cents more now). Your detailed instructions, with full color, scratch-n-sniff, illustrations, will be returned by mail (allow 6-8 weeks for delivery).

Oh, and please, PLEASE, don't forget to specify "male" or "female" on the form as well as which "degree" you wish when you return it. We wouldn't want anyone to get injured, now, would we?
