American Karui Wood?
I ran across this AOL article and I thought Americans might have a chance to turn our own teenage version of NZ's Karui.
It seems that the NW storms have churned up what they are calling "Ghost Forests," tree stumps that are as much as 4000 years old.
I'm on the East Coast, so I will probably not see any of it, but one has to wonder what turnings from that kind of wood might look like - but don't violate any property rights or break any laws to find out.
If anyone knows any more, I would be interested to hear.
