Hello all- I live in Berryville, Va, and am a hobby wood turner. I have a Laguna REVO 12/16 lathe. So far I have only turned a few pieces such as wine stoppers and a couple bowls. The bowls are made with Osage Orange that was cut from my Dad’s property.

Nice bowls. I like the grain on the Osage orange, and the live edge looks great. Been to Berryville many times.

Nice work. I like Osage orange. Mine comes from logs I find on the ground at my place. None of them have bark, though. The live edge bowl is unique.

Played around with another bowl trying to do a deeper bowl. I made this out of Osage Orange. About 5” diameter and 5” tall.

Alan: I’ve sent Osage blanks to my friend in Hawthorne. I’ll have to see if I have any still in my pile I can send you. He likes East Coast woods: Osage, Birch, etc. He has sent me LA area wood: Black Acacia, etc
