Hi everyone, please let me know if there is interest in more of these. Last thing I want to do is fill the boards with unwanted posts. Thanks for stopping in and checking.

I love your videos. I do lots of things, including tool handles, differently, but watching other methods adds much to my ability to pass things on to students and others as well as learn some useful new things myself. For example, I wouldn’t have thought of holding the ferrule in a chuck. I have different mini hollowing tools but that doesn’t decrease the general tool-handle making information.

Hey, do you have a 1/2” steb center (the one you used looks like the next largerI one)? If not, maybe I should send you one! I have two sizes but use the 1/2” far more than the larger. Someday I would like to the 1-1/14” as well, but can’t quite justify it yet.

It looks like there are about 80 views so far on this thread so plenty of people are watching and learning, but as usual, not many comment. Don’t quit!

Your videos are good - the camera shake detracts nothing! I should hire you do make some videos of some of my things. I have a zillion things I could cover with videos but not enough time or energy to follow through. I use a multi-camera setup but it’s hard to run by myself and takes a lot of editing. And I’m so bad at the running commentary I had to invest in a teleprompter!

I vote you keep on posting videos! (I should search for your past videos in case I missed some).

Wow, thanks for those kind words! Recording and uploading the videos is actually a little challenging but I'm growing with it (slowly lol). My knowledge is quite limited compared to many here but I'm happy to share whatever I can. On a recent trip to Greece, I visited several turning shops and the thought there (and old world Europe in general, I think) is to keep your secrets secret and do things the way great-grandpa did with sharp flint for a cutting edge lol. I feel that everyone should share and collaborate, even novices (like myself) sometimes stumble across something semi-profound once in a lavender moon...

And yes, I do have a 1/2" steb center (thank you for the offer though!) but not the very large one as I feel that something that warrants that size would do fine with a spur center. I could totally have used it but wanted to show the whole, hold the ferrule in the spigot jaws trick haha.
