tOTALLY IRRESPONSIBLE OF A CERTAIN INDIVIDUAL FROM TEXAS TO CLAIM THIS ITEM THEN GO SILENT.

As the title says, buyer after saying he wanted to buy the item is not responding.

Cross slide for a wood lathe, $75 OBO.

Kinda rare, this is an accessory for a wood lathe to turn it into a pattern maker's lathe or for metal turning. Buyer will have to deal with adapt a bolt to attach to the lathe's split ways. It's a quality item, heavy duty. Could also be used for OT work. Ruler in pic is 6".
Height from base to tool mount is 5", so best for a lathe with at least 12"+ swing. Rusty from being stored in a barn for 40 years. Screws are not rusty and slides move freely. Weighs about 25 pounds (guess). Being very rigid this could rough out interior of hollow forms without catches, for that matter it can take heavy cuts on the OD of nasty wood turnings without catches. Angle of top slide is adjustable.

If it needs to be shipped I'll take it to the UPS store and let them pack and ship so that'll add to the price.

In Seattle for local pickup.

Years ago I found a catalog listing for it from around 1920.

Looks like there're a couple tapped holes in the bottom to attach a plate. That could even be a piece of hardwood.

Width of the tool holder opening is 1/2".
