Been playing around with engraving some of the salt/peppermills I have been making. I using a rotary attachment on my CNC machine to engrave them, then using coffee grounds as a filling. Soak the grounds with CA glue and sanding smooth.

Very nice. Does the first one say, "laissez les bons temps rouler" (let the good times roll)?
Lived in Louisiana and this was the watch word in the state. In college, we said, Party, dude! In fact, we were very politically involved with the two party system- Friday night and Saturday night.

Bill, yes, you are correct. I have found that anything with that on it is a sure bet hit. This is a small plate that made for our turning club, Bayou Woodturners. We are providing the table decorations for SWAT this year.
