Chainsaw troubles!!

Wow, Hi. My experience with my Husky has been exactly the opposite, as has that of most of the folks whom I know that own huskys. Sounds like you got a serious lemon.

Chainsaw Passion?

Title for a new horror flick maybe? A man and his chainsaw, alone in the woods, do gruesome and unspeakable things to their surroundings.

Maybe the common bond of similar experience (chain sawing and associated difficulties) evokes such passion, not unlike wood turning. Just a thought.

suggestions

Here ae a couple of considerations: (1) Chainsaw chain stretches, especially with first use, and may require several adjustments before it stays put.
(2) Are you able to LOOSEN the adjusting tab? If the tab loosens but does not tension adequately, you may have a chain that is too long for the bar. (3) take the saw to a saw shop and ask for their help...be prepared to be a little embarrassed, as it is not likely the saw's fault ( I did the same thing with my new Stihl!)

One more thought....pull the chain brake back all the way to the saw body handle and hold it there with one hand while loosening the pull tab with the other. Your Poulan is likely to be an excellent saw.
