Cement Pad for my beloved

After much deliberation and soul searching, I decided the best option for me and my beloved Stubby 1000 was going to be a level high strength cement pad. There was as much as 1/4 in incline from one side to the other! The pad is 2 inches high. We added a cement wire mesh inside and chipped the old floor for better adherence. We used the white bag high strength cement from Lowe's. The 1000 now is a little lower than my 750. Some of my students and guests, like Guilio Marcolongo and Stu Batty, will be happier with the new height. I have to wait till the pad is fully cured and I will bolt her to the bottom older cement pad, just have to go through the new one.

I believe that machine tools are mounted by anchoring slightly above the floor, leveling then filling in with what they call grout. I don't know the details but I have seen it done in the distant past. Better late than never !@#$%^&*()_+
