Apprentice Collet Chuck Question

I just got an Apprentice Collet Chuck, installed a collet and tried it out. Great!
But now how do I get the collet out to put in another one? I know it can't be difficult, but it has me baffled.

I have the same collet chuck. Remove the chuck body from the spindle and tap on the collet from the back side with a dowel, or even finger pressure ought to do it.

These come with a gummy preservative on all the parts, and will tend to make surfaces stick if you don't remove it. Wipe all the parts with an oil rag prior to use. This will remove the preservative, and apply a light coating of oil for better function.......

edit: These collets seem to be slightly undersized. I've noticed that the part inserted into the collet needs to be slightly smaller than the indicated size. No problem, really.....as long as you are aware of this prior to turning a part to be held by the collet.
