This piece measures 4" dia. x 4-3/4" tall, 7-1/8" tall with the ebony lid and finial. Walls at 1/8". Finished with Antique Oil and Beall Buffed.
This bowl was turned green, to about 1/4" thick, then finish turned about a week later to just over 1/8" t.
It was finished with Nitrocellulose sealer and paste wax.
This is a poplar hollow form which has been dyed with black, red, orange and yellow aniline dyes. It measures about 10 1/4 inches tall by 7 1/8 inches in diameter.
This is another droplet shaped hollowed-from-the-bottom forms. It is about 9 3/4 inches tall. If the red one was "Terran" then this one is "Vulcan", but I think it needs a title more reminiscent of the ocean.
This is a poplar spiral bowl which measures about 8 1/2 inches across. It is very similar to my last posting, but I hope that this view shows off the rim better. 18 routed spirals to the left.
