Just a very thin bowl turned in poplar. About 8 inches in diameter and 3.5 - 4 inches tall. Finished in Danish oil and Beall Buffing System. Who knew that Poplar can be so pretty. I love this one.

This hollow form is turned from end grain, European White Poplar. It measures 7.25 inches by 4.5 inches and is finished with Waterlox. The wood and its grain is a little unusual, it almost appears laminated. All comments, especially critiques, are welcomed and appreciated.
Poplar and Birdseye Maple.
The body is segmented construction using poplar. The top and foot are birdseye maple.
Body is textured and painted with a flat black enamel.
The top and foot have a tung oil finish.

Three piece poplar lamination (8/4 lumber). Water soluable dye (Cherry Amber). Multi-layer Hydrocote Resisthane Plus clear gloss laquer...rubbed out to a high gloss finish.
