    About 3.5 x 6 inches, the lid is purpleheart. I’ve always liked the colour combination of yellow and purple, not sure why. Wipe-on poly and Beall buffed.

    This Osage had been drying for years but wasn’t too difficult to hollow. The lid is flamed box elder. About 3 x 5 inches. Wipe-on poly and Beall buffed.

    The Osage here is a good example of the slow growing trees in Ontario. About 3 inches in diameter and 4.5 inches high. The lid is wenge which contrasts well with the yellow Osage. Finish is wipe-on poly and Beall buffed.

    Osage Orange calabash form with three Wenge pewa. I carved the interior, coated with two layers of India ink, and then painted a ton of tiny dots with Acrylic paint. The idea: Vessels are so common and important in societies across the world, I have a hard time imaging that extraterrestrials...

    Center Coring of wet Osage Orange. Turned thin (1/8"), and microwaved for 90 sec. Got a very warped bowl but cracked in many places and quite disapointed. After sitting for a few days I decided to woodburn all of the cracks and find quite pleasing
