Made from a mystery burl and Bubinga, with a single Walnut cutaway spiral that started as a double twist.
The vessel measures 8"x3", and the finial is 5.5"x2.5". The lid is also 5.5"...

The twist on this box is carved using a microplane and files, sanded to 400 grit then polished
The textured finish is pyrography.

The box is a fairly early turning for me. I got really LUCKY with the Pagoda-like finial (I was trying for 3 steps, this was all I could get).
Tre-wax finish.
