White Top with Ebony - 5"W x 6"H (w/ finial). The lid is a solid piece of Ebony underneath with a donut ring from the base wood laid in. The finial was turned separately.
About 5 x 2 inches. The finish is General Finishes' Seal-A-Cell and buffed with the Beall system. I have been trying to make these collars as thin as possible. I like the way they finish off a piece. Now I look at some of my first collars and they look real clunky. All comments welcome.
about 4 in. x 6 in. Maple Burl with an Ebony Collar. About 4 x 6 inches. I saw this block of wood at Woodworker's Source but didn't buy it. I went back the next day and it was still there and it came home with me. I could tell it would have awesome figure. Finished with General Finishes...
Figured Big Leaf Maple, Texas Ebony foot, Chinese symbol and polished brass ring inlayed into the inside bottom of bowl. "Yeren" is Chinese for Bigfoot! It's very stable though. 7" x 3". Custom Finish
