"Clotwian fish fossil" -platter. This was found from the highlands of Clotwia. During my way back to civilized world one of the aboriginals was able to pinch the platter. Luckily I noticed theft quickly and was

"A Straight Bowl that will throw you a Curve"
9 3/4" Diam X 5 1/4" High
Andiroba & Maple
14 Segments/ring with radial grain-an attempt to verify Jeff's contention that bowls can have straight sides & still look good
2.75 dia x 1.25 High. Layered from Brazilian Cherry, Bloodwood, poplar and black veneers. I do not have planer or a drum sander so I used strips of exoctics from wood craft that I had purchased for highlighting segmented bowls.
This is my first goblet. It measures 2-3/4" dia. x 8-3/4" tall. Walls measure about .08". I don't know if I should tell the wood as I'm likely to be laughed at. Oh, well it won't be the first time. As this was my first try I used poplar and finished it with friction polish.
Carved finial, Pyrographically Branded, Patinated Silver-Leaf
While visiting the Asian Art Museum of San Francisco, I was drawn to some 16th century ceramic boxes. This prototype box is inspired from those works.
