Walnut Fluted Bowl

Walnut Fluted Bowl

Walnut fluted bowl that is approximately 12" x 5".
Wow! Nicely done. Are the flutes hand carved?

Yes, the flutes are hand carve. I start with a groove that is routed with a 1/8 end mill, with drill stop collar, in a Foredom flexible shaft machine to control the depth.

A beautiful bowl Paul! The fluting is outstanding; the straight cut along rim, with the foot frames it so nice. That and the beautiful piece of Walnut sure makes it sweet.

Very nice.
It reminds me of a bowl I made about two years ago, it is somewhere in my pictures if you would like to look at it. It is called Antiquity.
