Walnut Calabash

Walnut Calabash

14 x 9 inches from our local Black Walnut
This piece of lovely wood features five branch roots, so high likelihood of cracks. Slow drying and a bit of CA kept these mostly at bay. A bit of black epoxy took care of the rest.
Fortunately the branches also suggest figuring. Chatoyance is in abundance! Oil and wax finish.
