Urchin Bowl
John Van Domelen

Urchin Bowl

Turned, carved Black Tupelo (love this wood for carving), used that new carbide disc cutter - 6 tips on a die grinder blade - cuts wood like butter - I'll never use the chainsaw disc again - ever...

Finished the carving with an assortment of Typhoon bits (also new - love these things as well). Tool marks left on the outside, inside 4 coats thinned lacquer, buffed glass smooth.

John, I like the bowl and I'm interested in the "carbide disc cutter" you referred to. Could you tell us the name and who sells them. I would really appreciate it. Many thanks,
Dale
