Scorched Pine Hollow form

Scorched Pine Hollow form

This is the same piece I posted on April 3, 2021. At that time, it had a conventional finish. I decided to put a torch to it. I think I like it better now. After scorching, it was wire brushed by hand, and then lightly sanded with a sanding mop, and then finished with Danish oil. 5 inch diameter by 6 inches high.
I agree with you Michael. It is a big improvement. The texture and coloring produced by the burning & brushing adds a lot of character and artistic flair to what was a fairly bland surface.
