Bought this rock maple chunk with some others from a guy who was making firewood from an old growth tree in his front yard. Most of it was too small for me to want to work with. He hadn't gotten to this piece yet.
Sanded waxed and oiled.

The vase is 6 1/2 inches high by 3 7/8 inches in diameter.
