These are Russian yarn spindles that I made for the local spinning club. They requested that the spindles weigh in at less than 1.5 oz. The reason is that the less weight the finer the thread that can be spun. These weigh in at between 0.85 and 0.5 oz. the diameter of the weighted end is from 1.125 to 0.75 inches, and they are form 8 to 10 inches in length. I sanded them to 1000 grit and buffed with white diamond. there is no finish. A finish could rub off and stain the yarn. From top to bottom the wood is Teak, white oak, ebony alowood, cherry, silver alowood, ebony alowood, and purple heart.
