RED MALLE' NATURAL BOWL

RED MALLE' NATURAL BOWL

NICE SHAPE SMALL RED MALLE' BURL, BEUTIFUL FIGURE, PICTURE DOESN'T DO IT JUSTICE.
Most of the bigger burls I have and have seen look more like typical mallee burl, I guess this one just never finished growing up, it's only about 5 inches by 2. Thanks for the comments.

Hmm, wonder if it's a species confusion. It can't all be sapwood, and I've never seen Red Mallee burl with this colour.

Could be a York or Coolabah burl - not that I'm an expert.

Any case, a nice chunky treatment with lots of visual interest.

No, it's Red mallee' not a lot of red though but definitly red. I am no expert either but the person I bought it from is and he told me that red mallee' is not a tree, it is more a descriptive of the color mainly, so I've been told. Hope this helps, and thanks for the comments.
