Red Eucalyptus Natural Edge Hollow Form

Red Eucalyptus Natural Edge Hollow Form

This is from a crotch piece of red ironbark eucalyptus. I initially left a bark collar on it about 1/4" tall, but the design committee (my wife and I) decided the collar had to go.

It's about 8" wide by 5 1/2" tall, sanded to 600 grit, finished with my standard Formby's Tung Oil, tripoli, white diamond, and Renaissance wax.

Comments and critiques are welcome.
Thanks, Bill. I did end up using about an ounce of CA to stabilize the bark after the drying stage. (I turned it wet, soaked it in DNA, then finish turned it about a month later.)
