Raised bowl

Elm base and bowl finished with tung oil and wax. Stem constructed from rimu joined with intertwined bamboo strips both textured with modelling paste and finished with a painted verdigris effect. 345 mm high.
Thank you. I knew the rough outcome I wanted to achieve, then came the mental exercise of working out how it was going to be accomplished. It's this problem solving aspect of woodturning that I find most fulfilling and not something I thought much about when I first began.
