Paradise (Escaping with Nature Series)

Following my "Escaping With Nature" theme, this boxelder burl box features natural bark, wisps of moss, and added water features. It is 4" in diameter.

I treated the bark top and moss with Watco Danish Oil. And then used Chesnutt Spirit Stain to preserve the color of the moss.
I would like to know how the moss is in, say, one year. In my experience, nothing preserves it. A gentle breeze turns it to dust.
The moss on this piece was almost 2 years old on the blank before turning. It was still very stable. Some sanding dust got on top, and I blew it off with compressed air. I further stabilized the moss with Danish Oil and stain. I expect it to last for years. Perhaps the type of moss makes a difference?
