Next Gen - Mutation

Another sea creature inspired piece. Title was inspired by a conversation discussing the mericloning of orchids and the mutations that can occur in that process.

Afromosia (Pericopsis elata) and Redheart (Erythroxylon spp.) - turned, carved - enhanced with black polymer resin - finished with poly and lacquer. Little 'babies' in Maple. Base is volcanic pumice. It is ~ 14 " high by ~ 12.5 " wide with the base.
