More Curly Carob pieces

More Curly Carob pieces. The shallow bowl is 12" in diameter. The larger piece on the left is 10" inches tall. I have never seen another carob tree with this figure. This wood has been very popular in the galleries.
Paul:
carob is my favorite wood to work with; the color and grain are amazing.

beautiful pieces - i especially love that platter. is that carving on it?

Thanks. Yes, the platter is carved. It had a bad spot of chip-out near the rim that couldn't be repaired. So I decided to carve it with my rotory tool. Carving is new for me. It's fun and I'm starting to design pieces with carving in mind.
