I love this. It's interesting your choice of wood my first half wheel was made out of sycamore .I want to do a whole wheel with sycamore great job On this piece. I'd bet to say it's about an ounce
 
@michael alguire i asked Pat the same question he said he used a one light setup for the shadow and a tiny piece of blu-tak for the desired angle and also as he was afraid it would blow away. Thank you for your comments, I really admire your work.
