Lathe turned hollow form

Lathe turned hollow form

Cocobolo; 6” long by 3” tall. Entirely lathe turned and not carved.
A cool piece.

When I do pieces like that I usually form the feet or wings by turning the curved faces and the cut the profiles with a bandsaw.

Turning the profiles is impressive!
