Knot Tippy

This bowl was gifted to the property owner that generously offered up a large Arbutus Tree that was falling over as the rock it was growing in crumbled. We harvested a very rocky root burl which will yield some interesting pieces. This bowl had a rock in the rim where the notch is. 16" X 6.5" finished with 2 coats of Tung Oil, the bottom was left of the thicker side to retain some of the natural burl edge. It would appear tippy however there is just enough of a foot to sit solid.
