My mother-in-law's hairdresser asked me if I could make her a shorty version of a rolling pin....never having made one before, I said, sure, I can do that!

The roller part is 8 inches and the handles are 2-3/4 inches.

I have a sneaking suspicion that this is for more than use in the kitchen!

Hard maple, unfinished and sanded to 500 grit...really smooth!
Roger-

Is it all one piece? Or is the handles turned and drilled with a steel rod connecting them through a hole drilled through the main piece?

Gary
