Hackberry vase

Hackberry vase with turquoise inlay. wood is from the Capitol Bldg in Pierre SD. 100 year olds trees cut down in '07. This piece was cut from one of the large root stems just above the ground. Lots of spalting some bark stayed on, urethane finish about 1/2 in thick 18 in tall.
