Fumed Black Locust Bowl

Fumed Black Locust Bowl

This natural edge bowl is about 10” x 9” x 2” and was turned once, sanded while green. I finished sanded it when it dried. I used regular grocery store lemon scented ammonia. The bowl was put in a sealed container and fumed for 2 days. After the first day I turned it over and it caused some bleeding of the fumed tannin in to the sapwood. The next time I think I’ll just try one day and not turn it over.
