Flower Vase Box

Curly maple vase. A lip on the inside allows the lid to sit. Lid base is quilted maple dyed blue. Flower is holly dyed green, yellowheart and bloodwood. The vase was initially turned end over end, offset a quarter of the width in from one side and about half the width from one end, resulting in a rounded over end. That was then reoriented to turn the vase shape, then chucked and hollowed.
